MBSR, what is it?
Mindfulness Based
Stress Reduction

MBSR –

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) therapy is a meditation therapy, though originally designed for stress management, it is being use for treating a variety of illnesses such as depression, anxiety, chronic pain, cancer, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, skin and immune disorders.

MBSR helps us to discover that a clear and non-judging awareness of the attitudes and perceptions we bring to each moment will help us become familiar patterns of thinking and behaving. These often unconscious patterns can either support or undermine our ability to be fully present to life.

How it works?

Each session is one hour

Part One

The first 15 minutes we will spent talking about your week and any ups or downs you may be having.

I customize the meditation session to you its important that you let me know anything that may be going on. (What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas and there is absolute no judgement)

Part Two

The next 30 minutes I will guide you through an intent-full meditation.

Part Three

The last 15 minutes is open for anything that comes up.

Before the session please find a quite space where you will be undisturbed for oe hour. this is healing time for yourself so its important to let any one around you know taht you will need space.

lastly, make your self some herbal tea if you like and get your headphones ready.

How you may feel?

You may notice that at times there is ease with simply being present and at other times there is struggle or difficulty with focusing.

The view of mindfulness training is to let go of any preferences for one kind of experience over another. When you allow experience to unfold without bias; you will discover a new kind of ease, genuine peace arises when we relax our struggle with how things are in the present moment.

It can be helpful to remember that mindfulness practice is practice, something to be engaged over time rather that a quick fix for one’s experience of stress and unhappiness.
